Meet JORDAN B. GORFINKEL
SPOTLIGHT on JORDAN B. GORFINKEL, Creator, EVERYTHING'S RELATIVE…
JORDAN B. GORFINKEL (GORF) is a veteran comic book creator, popular newspaper cartoonist, accomplished musician and CD producer, and proud father of three children.
For most of the 1990s Gorf guided the Batman comics franchise at DC Comics, coordinating publications, licensing and movie & TV productions with the 60 year history of the DC Universe. In 1999 Gorfinkel conceived and directed the critically and commercially acclaimed series "No Man’s Land," most expansive comic book saga ever created, serialized in several weekly chapters across most of the Batman line for the entire calendar year. Gorfinkel also conceived BIRDS OF PREY, the most successful comic book series starring women since "Wonder Woman." BIRDS OF PREY was produced as a one hour WB television series, and is the highest rated pilot in the network’s history.
A prolific cartoonist, Gorf is the creator/writer/artist of EVERYTHING'S RELATIVE, a timely yet timeless newspaper comic-strip published weekly since 1996 in many major markets including New York, Minneapolis, Atlanta, Detroit and Baltimore. "Everything’s Relative" is a humorous and touching look at contemporary life in America from a Jewish perspective that DreamWorksSKG called "a wonderful idea." A forthcoming book collection will feature an introduction by Lynn Johnston, creator of "For Better or For Worse," one of the most widely syndicated newspaper cartoons in the world. EVERYTHING'S RELATIVE is now proud to be featured alongside the world's greatest comic strips on the renowned ComicSherpa website (www.ucomics.com).
As a musician, Gorfinkel has produced seven music Music CDs. His career milestone is "Voices For Israel," a 2 CD music & video album for charity that features the largest gathering of Jewish Music stars in history—over 50 artists from across the Jewish landscape, all singing together on behalf of victims of terrorism.
